Sedation Dentistry
Stress-Free Dental Care with help from a Dedicated Anesthesiology Team
Dental anxiety is real—and you’re not alone if you feel nervous about getting treatment. Whether you’ve had a past negative experience, struggle with a strong gag reflex, or simply feel overwhelmed by the idea of being in the dental chair, sedation dentistry can help.
I work closely with a trusted, licensed anesthesiology team to provide safe and effective IV sedation right here in our practice. This allows you to receive the care you need—calmly, comfortably, and with complete peace of mind.

Who Can Benefit from Sedation Dentistry?
Sedation may be a great option if you:
- Experience dental fear or anxiety
- Need extensive or surgical treatment (e.g. implants or extractions)
- Have difficulty staying still or getting numb
- Have a sensitive gag reflex or past trauma
We’ll discuss your health history and treatment goals together to determine whether IV sedation is right for you.
What Is IV Sedation?
IV sedation (intravenous sedation) involves delivering medication through a small IV line in your arm or hand. It places you in a deeply relaxed, sleep-like state—you’ll be semi-conscious, but likely won’t remember the procedure.
Throughout your appointment, the anesthesiologist will monitor your breathing, heart rate, and vital signs—ensuring your safety from
What to Expect
1.Consultation
I’ll meet with you to understand your concerns and goals. If sedation is appropriate, we’ll schedule your appointment with our anesthesiologist.
2.Day of Treatment
The anesthesiologist will administer the IV sedation and monitor you throughout the procedure, while I focus entirely on your dental care.
3.Aftercare
You’ll need someone to drive you or call an uber home as the sedation wears off. Most patients feel back to normal within a few hours.
